As a completely rookie biker, I am learning through trial and error how to stay glam while I ride with my husband. Him, being a guy, can't teach me much about biker beauty.

So here are my findings. Be aware that I wear a full helmet, not an open one (because I can't stand the wind in my eyes).

1.- Foundation and Concealer

I don't wear any foundation as the inside of the helmet can't be washed and the rubbing would not only get the foundation out of my face but would stick it to the sides and forehead of the helmet making it very gross.

So I wear a strong concealer for my dark under eye circles and I leave my freckles to shine in all their glory.

2.- Eyebrows

I must fill them up daily and so far I haven't found a good pencil or powder that would stay put when you put on and take off the helmet. I also tried the IT Cosmetics Brow Power pencil that I got in my ipsybag and it faded just like my affordable Annabelle's brow pencil (which I love).

3.- Eyeshadows

It gets really hot inside the helmet. Lately I tried the BelláPierre Shimmer Powder but it creased (my lids are pretty oily). I am still testing regular eyeshadows to find one that will stand helmet heat.

4.- Eyeliner

Gel eyeliner works! I tried several brands and they all work as long as they are set. Liquid eyeliner will smudge pretty fast. The eyeliner that you see in the image below (Urban Decay's) left my eyes like a raccoon with insomnia.

5.- Blusher/Bronzer/Setting powder/Highlighter

I don't use any for the same reason I don't use foundation: the helmet would get gross very fast

6.- Mascara

Only wear waterproof mascara. Some times it will still smudge as it melts with the helmet heat and the face sweat.

7.- Lips

Regular lipstick is out of the question, so is gloss. So the best solution that I found is to wear a lipstain and when I take off the helmet I can apply gloss. Lipstain will not melt not stain the helmet.

8.- Sunscreen

After my regular skin care routine, I put on Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF60. It is light-ISH and dry-ISH enough to be worn on top of regular day cream and it gets absorbed enough as to keep the inside of the helmet clean.

These are the products I wore during my last ride.

Glam's Dating Tips: it is a challenge to stay presentable while riding. Most we can do is to keep our skin impeccable and stick to the basics: concealer, eyeliner, mascara and lipstain.

Highlights: waterproof cosmetics are your best bet while your face is inside a full helmet.

WTFs: I hate the biker babes depicting super glam women riding motorbikes (see Jacklyn Smith in Charlie's Angels above). That is not a true representation of riding. I so wish it was.
